The day the King overtakes MJ (in scoring)

I'm sure you are aware that LeBron James is very close to passing a certain Michael Jordan in all time scoring and at some point this season he will pass him. The ongoing GOAT debate is one in which both parties have their own narratives and arguments but one thing that cant be argued is who the better scorer is. 1-0 MJ.

The NBA all time scoring list is made up of legends and as of today Michael Jordan sits in 4th place on 32,292 points but as we know his concrete has set. King James sits 3 places and exactly 1,254 points behind with possibly 6 more years of his career left. Passing MJ in scoring would be another argument for LeBron fans to use in their side of the GOAT debate.

In order to predict when LeBron will pass MJ we need to do some quick maths (shout out to Big Shaq), if we go by LeBrons career average of 27.2ppg, it would take him until the 1st bucket of the 47th game of the season against the Rockets to accomplish this feat, however after looking at the schedule I have a theory.

With LeBron being some who likes to control the narrative I can see him breaking the record in his 45th game against none other than the Chicago Bulls, the team which gav

e his biggest rival, the most success. Remember the date! January 15th 2019.
