Who could break an All Time Record?

The NBA has been around for over 70 years and during this time many record have been set, some records seem impossible to break such as Wilts 100 point game and his 50ppg, 25rpg season. However there are some other records that are more achievable and even in sight for some current players. Below I have listed the current players and what various all time record I think they could set.

Steph Curry - All Time 3 point Record.

First things first, let's get the easy one out the way. The best shooter ever will surely surpass Reggie Miller and Ray Allen for most 3 pointers made. He's 10 years into his career whereas Ray Allen and Reggie Miller played 18 apiece. Steph is only 586 away from being 1st and I expect him to break this record at the start of the 2020/21 season. James Harden is just over 1000 away and I expect him to end up 2nd by the time he retires.

Lebron James - All Time Scoring Leader

King James isn't having a particularly great start to life in LA but he seems to be breaking some sort of record every time he plays. He is 6162 points shy over becoming the outright NBA All Time scoring leader and I think he has a good chance at doing it. If he plays 250 more regular season games, If he plays 300 more regular season games (15 more this season, 75x3 for the next 3 season then 60) he would only need to average 20.5 ppg to break the record, something that looks achievable.

Russell Westbrook - All Time Triple Double Leader

With 129 triple doubles already to his names, Russ remains 53 away from the all time record. 110 of these have come within the last 4 seasons so I expect him to continue to rack these up quite frequently. Realistically by the 2020/21 season he could be in line to break it at some point in that season.

Lebron James - All Time All Star Appearances

Lebron James has 15 All Star appearances so far and only needs 5 more to break the all time record. He has a ridiculous amount of popularity and if he plays for 5 more seasons I am certain he will make it every year as well as the legacy vote he will get in his final season.

Gregg Popovich - All Time Coaching Wins

Pop is still widely regarded as the best coach in the NBA and one of the best in history so it's no surprise he is high up on the all time wins list. He is currently 105 wins away from being numero uno and I believe as long as he doesn't retire he can reach this landmark in 2021/22.

Steve Kerr - Winningest Coach

NBA life has been pretty kind to old Steve, 5 rings as a players (3 Chicago, 2 San Antonio) and 3 as a coach of the GSW his career has been littered with success. He currently owns the winningest record as a coach at 75.9% and I can't see him dropping to 2nd place, especially because it is occupied by David Blatt (LOL). The GSW have been on a tear since Kerr took over with Steph Curry locked down I'm sure they'll still win plenty of games over the course of the next few seasons.

Karl-Anthony Towns - All Time Games Played

This is a longshot considering how early Towns is into his career but he has been somewhat of an Ironman so far, having only missed 2 games out of 308 due to a car accident. The record is 1611 held by Robert Parish so KAT remains over 1300 games out but I am positive he will have along career and is good enough to play at this level for many years to come.
